In order to use GatorSocial you need to first connect your Social Network Accounts to the platform.
This article will walk you through how to do exactly that.
Please Note: In order to connect accounts you need to be an Admin User and have Admin rights for your user on each Individual Social Media profile e.g. you must be an Admin of your Facebook account.
- Select the 'Settings' cog at the bottom left of the page.
- Then select 'App Settings' -> 'Social Profiles'.
- Here you will see a list of your connected and previously connected social accounts.
- To add a new profile select 'Connect a Profile'.
Connect an account
After selecting 'Connect a Profile' you will see the above screen. Here you can connect a Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter profile, or invite a colleague to use GatorSocial.
You can connect to your Facebook Profile by selecting the Facebook Option.
You will have to log in to your Facebook account and accept the access permissions to continue.
Please Note: You need to have a personal facebook account connected to a company page in order for Facebook to add correctly.
If you select Twitter the above message will appear. This tells you exactly what GatorSocial will do with your account details.
If you agree to the above and want to connect the profile, then simply type in your handle and password.
To add your Instagram it must be an Instagram Business account and not a personal Instagram account.
When adding your Instagram Business account you will need to do this via Facebook, so do not be alarmed when it asks for a Facebook login.
This is because the Instagram Business account must be linked to a Company Facebook account with an Admin User.
Accept the permissions as usual and it will connect to your Instagram Account.
