🔍 What’s New?
Our enhanced detection system uses a combination of metrics and logic to determine whether an interaction is likely to be from a bot. This includes:
- Interaction timing analysis
- User agent inspection (e.g., the software used to open or click emails)
- Other proprietary signals designed to flag suspicious activity
If an interaction matches any of our criteria, it is marked as bot activity in the campaign results database.
🧪 How It Works
In the Campaign Results screen, you’ll now see a new toggle button:
✅ Enable Bot Filter
- When enabled, all detected bot activity is excluded from your campaign results upon refresh.
- This gives you a clearer picture of genuine engagement from real users.
- You can toggle this on or off at any time to compare results with and without bot activity.
⚠️ Note: Depending on the level of bot activity your campaigns receive, the difference in reported results could be significant.
📁 New Export Columns
We’ve also added two new columns to your Export Options:
- Is Bot – Indicates whether the interaction was flagged as bot activity.
- Bot Reason – Provides insight into why the interaction was classified as a bot.
These additions help you better understand and audit your campaign data.
🚫 What This Feature Doesn’t Do
While this enhancement improves reporting accuracy, it’s important to note:
- It does not prevent bots from interacting with your emails or links.
- It does not guarantee 100% detection, as bot behaviour is constantly evolving.
