Testing your email campaigns before they go out is one of the most crucial steps in campaign creation.
There are several key email features you need to test. For example, how your email design is rendering in the inbox, dynamic content and links, and even your contact's data in their contact record.
Sending a Test Email
We have two different types of tests you can do, the first being a "Quick Send Test"
Once inside your campaign click the 'Testing' tab along the top. Enter your email address and a test will be sent to you.
We offer this so that you can view your email design to see if links and dynamic content are to the standard you would like your customers to see.
Sending a Full Campaign Test Email
If you select "Full Campaign Test" this is the testing option where you can use our Inbox & Spam Test, Spotler AI, and SendForensics to test your deliverability.
Once inside your campaign click the ‘Testing’ tab along the top then head to the ‘Full Campaign Test’ section and:
- Choose a contact to mimic (this contact won't receive the email but any personalisation in the email will be relevant to them).
You cannot type in this box so use 'Select' (to choose from the database) or 'Audience Select' (to choose from the audience).
- Type in the Email Address that you would like the test to be sent to. You can send tests to multiple emails and optionally set them as a new test group.
- Choose if you want to test the email in HTML form, Text form, or both forms.
- Tick this is you wish to prefix the subject line with preview. This is useful as you can identify that it is a test email.
- Click 'Send Test'
