It is possible to insert a Send to a Friend Link into your email so that a recipient may send their friend/colleague a copy of this email.
- Go to Tools -> Send to a friend.
- Select "Add New Send To A Friend".
- Enter the name for your 'Send to a Friend'.
- Select 'Create A New Send To Friend'.
Insert the standard details shown above, ensuring the Unsubscribe Field, Opt In & Out Values, and the CSS design match those for your contact record fields.
Enter the Sign Up Details.
When clicking the 'Send to a Friend' link in the email, they will see a form which has the above fields. They need to enter the recipients information so it can be sent properly.
You can preview how it will look for them using the 'Preview' button.
Fill in the Email To Friend Details.
This will be sent to the recipient when the Sign Up form has been filled in with their details.
Adding merge fields makes it easy to construct a very personal email without having to design multiple Send to a Friends.
You will also need to add clickable links so they can acknowledge their interest
Then you just need to add a confirmation message. This is what they will see when they have registered their interest.
Under the Advanced Details section in your Campaign Setup, you will find a field called 'Send to a Friend'.
Select the 'Send to a Friend' you created in the step before and attach it to the campaign from the drop down.
Once this has been done you are finished! The link will now work in the email.
Please Note: Make sure to test the link by sending yourself a test email in the Campaign Setup!
